What are the types of AI ? How it's work ?

 As we know Artificial Intelligence make the task easier in daily life.

Based on capabilities :

Mainly there are three types of learning in Artificial Intelligence :

1. Artificial Narrow Intelligence
2. Artificial General Intelligence
3. Artificial Super Intelligence

Let's discuss all of these types one by one...

1. Artificial Narrow Intelligence :

• This is also known as Weak AI, they only focused on narrowly defined specific problems. 

for example - Alexa, it's operated in a limited predefined range function and there is no genuine 

intelligence and self-awareness

• Face verification in iPhone
• Autopilot mode in Tesla

Narrow AI is a very common and available AI in the world, they perform a task with intelligence.

They have limitations to performing a task and application of AI in self-driving cars, speech recognition, etc.

2. Artificial General Intelligence 

It is a type of AI that performs a cognitive task with efficiency. The purpose of AI is to make such type of system which thinks like a human and works smarter.

There is no such type of system present at the moment which perfectly works like a human.

To design, such a type of system which exactly works like a human would be a little difficult, it requires more effort to develop such a type of system.

3. Artificial Super Intelligence

Artificial superintelligence is a futuristic idea in the AI world.

Super AI is a type of Artificial Intelligence that is more intelligent than humans, super AI performs tasks better than humans.

Characteristics of super AI included abilities like solving a puzzle, smart thinking, communication, etc.

Based on functionality :

1. Reactive machine

2. Limited memory

3. Theory of mind

4. self-awareness

1. Reactive machine :

It is the basic form of AI system in which machines can be used automatically responding to limited or combination of input.

The reactive machine comes under the category of narrow AI.

They cannot learn and form memories and use of experiences of the past.

example - IBM's Deep Glue, Google's Alpha Go.

2. Limited memory :

To have the capabilities of a purely reactive machine and be able to learn historical data. We can say that Limited memory = purely reactive machine + Historical data.

example - Autonomous vehicles, Chatbot

The autonomous vehicle is based on the principle of limited memory, which is a combination of observation and pre-program language.

They read the environment and changed as per need.

A chatbot is a computer program that mimics human conversation in its design format including its text and spoken language AI techniques.

They learn from past interactions and become intelligent and smarter over time.

3. Theory of mind :

This type of AI can understand feelings, thought, and motives, in which AI can understand the feelings, thought of humans.

example - Sophia robot

3. Self-awareness :

It is a class of AI that develops self-awareness the way a human brain does and is also called "Consciousness".

According to experts, there are three types of  Consciousness 

• C0 - This represents calculation that happens without knowledge
• C1 - IT involves quantities of data to make an informed decision in response to specific circumstances
• C2 - It is the higher level of consciousness in which AI machines can recognize and correct their mistakes.

These are the types of AI based on capabilities and functionality.
